![]() "Rick" wrote in message ... Greetings all, Very frustrated, the subject says it all. It seems that the stores that *used* to offer a range of cichlids is moving to salt primarily. I guess the profit isn't there for cichlids. At best the stores seem to have a tank or two of the same old mbuna. Specifically I'm looking for non-mbuna, reasonably-non-agressive Tanganyikans or Malawians (peacocks, maybe haps) for my 75 gal tank. I'd preferably like juveniles and not some huge, very expensive adults. Not too mention I have a few sub-adult Julie (ornatus) currently in the tank. If anyone knows a LFS or just someone within the central florida area with some "extra" fry ![]() that I got hooked on these fish (especially Tanganyikans, they're really tough to find). Thanks, Rick IMO, the only way to obtain Rift Lake cichlids that aren't of the normal Mbuna mold is to order online. Check out www.hotcichlids.com and talk to Elwood. He's usually got a pretty good selection. I've found online prices to be about a third of the LFS prices on most things. Tim www.fishaholics.org |
