2nd batch of eggs...

Hi all;
Well, 10 days later and after my angels ate all of their eggs, they're
spawning again today. But this time, I took the leaf and put it in a
breeding net. I'll keep everyone posted.
Quick question though, how do you know if the male is successfully
fertilizing the eggs??? I heard somewhere that fertilized eggs turn into a
goldish colour.

If you put them in a breeding net before they were fertilized, they won't
be. The male and female work pretty much in unison laying and fertalizing.
If they start turning white they are no good. And if you just seperate them
from the parents like that, the eggs will probably fungus and die anyway.
They need constant attention from either the parents, or they need to be in
a tank that has a lot of anti fungal agent like methylene blue with an air
stone keeping a constant flow of fresh water going over them.

Fertalized eggs, = Brownish beigey colours Unfertalized eggs = white

Just a note, the female will try and eat the white eggs, so if possible
remove them, there is also some thoughts the white ones can also hurt
the fertalized eggs, so it is a good idea to try and keep only
fertalized eggs by themselfs.

Eggs are also suspetable to fungus, they need flowing water, since most
aquriums lack this you may wish to add some Methylene Blue to the water.
