Default softener

Can anyone suggest a way to soften my water? Just had it tested and
seemingly my water is too hard to introduce fish yet. My pH, flouride etc is
all find but my water is needing softened?

Thanks!

Hi what fish do you intend to keep?

you can by an inline water softener that plugs into your pipe fixings on
your taps/faucets.

or collect rain water from a water butt in the garden.

I was thinking just goldfish and bottom feeders?

They did say there was a special "pillow" I could attach to my filter but my
filter is the wrong shape for it. Or a rock, sorry dont remember the name,
but the rock they had would fill up my entire tank.

I just want some fish!
