Last time I used one was to install a large yellow knob on a PP1 valve. That is a truck air brake valve. Typically, auto parts stores will have a drawer with a selection of these pins. ========================== Thanks for the information but not even close. This is a long thin ceramic needle-like thing, more like a piece of cut coathanger but is made of ceramic material. It goes through the impeller to keep it spinning in the middle of the impeller well. It's stabilized at both ends so the impeller can spin and not actually touch the sides of the well. Any chance at a pic?? |

Any chance at a pic?? ============================= No. I tried to find replacement parts for Tetra pumps and never came across them, no less a pic of this ceramic shaft. It was just a thin ceramic rod that looked like a piece of white coat hanger and was about 4" long. The ends were clean-cut and the surface was rough like flat paint (IOW not slick and shiny). -- McKoi.... the frugal ponder... Mine live in my town talk about a hard situation. ========================= You may want to notify the local Police then (or the police in the town the stalker is from). I did and at least there's a record now that this "person" threatened me. Some of these people are dangerous sociopaths. It's always good to let the Police know when someone threatens you online or is trying to steal/use your identity. This troll/stalker was even talking about getting my credit report. Be careful! I got a reply from Tetra this morning to call them and order this part. They do carry it the e-mail said. :-) Without that ceramic shaft the pump is useless. I once threw away a Beckett pump not thinking I could order a new impeller.... -- McKoi.... the frugal ponder... EVERYONE: "Please check people's headers for forgeries before flushing."
