I am looking to get my first tank and would appreciate a reference to good
shop(s) in Charlotte, NC, the south side if possible.

Can you help me?

Thanks, Scott.

I went to Fintastic and I felt like I wasn't a member of the club.

I live south east so South Blvd isn't convenient, but I'll definitely make
it a point to check out F&Ps next time I am over that way.

I got a tank at PetsMart but I'll need to get my advice on-line. I made my
biggest mistake before I even got my tank when my Beta died and I got 3
Wal-Mart Tiger Barbs but they weren't surviving in what I had them in so I
needed the tank, and now I realize that the Barbs are not the best if I want
to get a variety of fish. Of course, I seem to have a bad habit of doing
more successful research after the fact, so that I just added 2 albino tiger
barbs and 2 green tiger barbs to go with my 2 remaining tiger barbs, based
off some suspect PetsMart advice. Do you have any suggestions for good fish
to add to what I have? Something that won't get too big and has good
behavior and is 'cute?' (I have 2 little girls, 2 & 5 yrs, and they only
like small cute fish). I have a 37 galleon tank that is a tall cube, not
rectangular like most that I've seen.

Thanks for responding!

Dave

Don't see any responses so I'll jump in with "Frank & Pegs" - long
time lfs located in Starmount shopping center on South Blvd (south of
Tyvola at Archdale). Lori can set you up with a quote pretty quick
and has done me some pretty good deals as far as an lfs goes. You can
always get cheaper at the big stores or on-line but F&P's will have
someone there who keeps fish and can answer questions. Even offered
to delivery my 55 gal free when I bought it from them.
