Default TAP WATER NEEDING FILTERING ?

This just in! Field correspondent "robert" reports this latest
development!

Does tap water need filtering before being mixed with synthetic seawater mix
? Will reverse osmosis do it ? If so will I have to put something back in
the water before mixing it with the synthetic sal****er mix ? If so what ?
Thanks.

Robert G Smith

Yes, yes, no, I add Novaqua per the instructions on the bottle.

I would test your tap water with your test kit before you assume that it is
okay to use. If you don't have one, I would get a phosphate test kit. Many
water treatment plants add them to stop rust. If your water passes all of
your test, it is most likely okay for an all fish tank.

RO water is the best. If you have a small tank, distilled water is good
too.
