Default water testing kits

Hi,

Are water testing kits reusables (meaning, i dont throw them out after
i tested the water..) or its a one time test and then i need to buy a
new kit/set ?

thanks
LT

all the ones i've seen are little bottles of stuff that you drip into a
water sample - you can use them until you run out of stuff. they often say
on the box how many tests they do. i've heard of ones that use one-use
strips of paper, but i've never seen them.
