Turtle pond

I am about to provide my turtles and some fish with a pond..Can anyone offer
me advice on filters and the various accessories that I need.

Since turtle make serious turtle poo most of
us build our own filters.
Somebody will post some great links for them.

I have a 3,000 pond, a 150 gallon combination mechanical and plant filter made
out of a stock tank. It kept up nicely with two painted turtles and lots of
fish and frogs.
