Default mandarine going pale

Hi
got a mandarine on saturday and put him in my tank which is a 55gal
with loads of live rock. He was real pale this morning, i actually
though he was dead! and hardly moving but as soon as i put the lights
on he coloured up and seemed to be ok. Now he seems fine but has a
large white patch on one fin?
any ideas would be appreciated
thanks
tim

My porcupine puffer does the same thing at night. Takes him about 5 minutes
to wake up.
