Default cant find pond light bulbs

I have a string of 3 pond lights that I bought 3 years ago at Home Depot.
The brand is obscured by the algae and water, but the bulbs have burned out
now and I can't find a replacement bulb ANYWHERE!

If anyone knows of a source, either online or a store, I need 3 bulbs, they
are 12 volt and 10 watt. I think they are actually a hallogen.

I have tried at least 20 stores in 3 cities now without success. Any help
would be appreciated greatly!

thanks,
wendy in Oregon

I would also like to know if anyone has a good on-line resource for pond
lighting--Home Depot and even my local pond store has a poor selection and
high prices!

Kirsten:

I also put this post on another message board and got a response that Lowes
has the bulb Im looking for. That is one place I had not tried but will
check it out today. They have a pond dept but also have a "low voltage"
section of the store for contractors, etc, so I will check both and post my
results. Hopefully there is a Lowes near you!

You can get those bulbs at home depot. Go to the light bulb department....they
have alot of them...I get mine there all the time. Don't look in the pond
department....it's futile. They are halogen, just make sure you have the
right volts etc......

Same thing, underwater lights,,,two pins on the end of the bulb.....got them in
home depot....good luck.

Thanks to everyone! I found the bulbs today, regular stock item, at Lowes.
I had looked at Home Depot here in Oregon, where I bought the lights
initially, and they did not carry the 10 watt size. go figure. Anyway,
Lowes did have them and maybe Home Depot was just out at that location I
checked.

Thanks for the assist! By dark my lights will be back on and the fish will
do doubt resume their excited antics when the lights come back on...........

gee, maybe I'll luck out and find that as with the big New York City black
out...........there will be baby koi in a short while!

happy ponding and thanks,
