Default Boxer Shrimp Removal (DEAD or ALIVE)

One techinique that i've seen discussed often (although I've never had a=20
chance to try) is putting a clear jar (with some kind of trap door) into=20
your tank... put it in there for a few days, so that the Boxer gets used=20
to it, and then, on the day that you wanna catch him, put in some food=20
for your Boxer... then, when he's in there, snap the trap door shut...=20
TADA, Boxer in a jar. :-)

Alternatively, catch all of your OTHER animals this way... then TADA,=20
your Boxer will be trapped in the tank while your other guys are safe in=20
the jar! :-)

Hi,
=20
I am now deeply regretting the day my LFS told me that a Boxer would be f=

ine
with my Fire and Cleaner Shrimps. Having lived in comparative harmony for
about 4 months, the Boxer has consumed both a Fire and Cleaner Shrimp in =

the
space of a week - total cost =A362. Not bad for a Boxer that cost me =A38=

!

I now need to save my remaining shrimps but cannot seem to get the bugger
out of the tank. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove the culrpit
Boxer Shrimp from my reef tank? (Dead or Alive).

Many thanks

there are a few traps that work with a string, you pull the string and the door closes, i
KNOW drsfostersmith.com sells them, so do a few others, put something you know he will eat
in there, and let him have it pull him out and sell it to someone else there are
cheap versions and expensive ones, buy the cheap one, itll do just fine unless you plan on
getting more boxer shrimp to "test" them
