Default Poor Health

I have a 55 gallon tank, with two white skirts tetras, 3 powder blue
gouraumis, five golden barbs, and five tail light tetras. The tank has
been astablished for two years now, and no new fish have been added
within the last 6 months. Lately my gouramis look bad. They still
eat,, a little,, but,,, they swim with their tail low,, and have lost
almost all their color. They also have very little body mass left, and
are mostly skeletal. Is there anything that I can do.. Water
parameters are within proper levels, and are the same as they have
been for the last six months. Also, all the other fish look and act
fine. Just the gouramis are having trouble. Mostly I'm worried about
the fact that they are lossing body mass, and swim hover tail low. I
feed them Tetra Min flakes daily... Help !!

| parameters are within proper levels,

So what *are* the parameters? These will go a long way to helping us
determine a problem.

I guess what I meant by,, the parameters are normal, is,, that the
parameters are stable. But here they are,, as they have been for the
past year or so. Water Temp... 78..... pH... 7.8 ,,,, General
Hardness .. 11.. Ammonia and Nitrite are 0

You could just have some old gouramis...

And Nitrate is ???

And, not being a Gourami keeper, anybody know the usual lifespan of a Gourami?
Two years seem pretty short (assuming they where juveniles when purchased)
compared to *most* fish, but I'm just guessing there.

I owned a Belontia signata - related anabantoid - for just over twenty
years. I've have pearl gouramis past eight.
