Default Looking for Reliable Source for Killi

I am thinking about raising Killi in an indoor aquarium, and was wondering
if anyone has had good results with a vendor? I am looking to raise specific
varieties, and want to be sure that once I am educated enough, I can
purchase the initial group of fish from a reliable source.

BV,

You need to Google "killifish" and buy from a club member. Best way to get
these fish these days. Of course you need to know what you want before you
ask because there are differences.

I've got 3-4 varieties picked out, but I am still doing research to make
sure I know what I am getting into. Funny you say Google. I have repeatedly
and not once run across a club. Then it occured to me, I have been
google'ing by species. I guess I need to lessen my criteria.

You might want to try the following;
American Killifish Association - http://www.aka.org/ and the Federation of
American Aquarium Society's - http://www.gcca.net/faas/ (this is a "club of
clubs" but can lead you to a local aquarium society in your area). Good
luck.

You might also want to check out http://www.killi-data.org/ for fish names
and id. Some AKA members sell on http://www.aquabid.com but you can also
find killi clubs and members in your area at AKA, or by checking out their
email lists. I've been checking into killis for a couple of years, but
haven't progressed too far -- pond, kids, and pets keep getting in the way
;-) Maybe I'll get my 30gal community tank set up this spring.
