I have a refugium with about a 5" bed of live sand, skimmer, and about
55 lbs. of LR in a 30 gal tank. But there's still a lot of green algae that grows on the LR. Seems the coralline can't quite grab a foothold and spread throughout the tank. Nitrates are next to nothing. Do I need to add some macroalgae to my refugium? thanks, Juan |

You should test for phosphate. You do want macro algae in
the refugium, as it will grow and outcompete the nuisance algae growing in the tank.
