Default recommendation for protective gloves?

Hi folks;

I'm looking for some good protective gloves to wear while cleaning the
inside glass of my tank. I bought some from my LFS, can't remember the
brand, and they leaked. Recently I got a pack of Tunze gloves, and the
two I've used so far have leaked too. This surprised me given the good
reputation of Tunze. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I bought a pair of these. They work for me, and don't leak.

I bought the same pair as the above person (Eric) bought an no leaks yet
either. I just bought them at another place though:

Great ... thanks for the recommendation.

Can fish see color, by the way? (How's that for a switch to a
completely different topic?) The reason I ask is that when I used a
blue algae scrub pad to clean my tank, my maroon clown went absolutely
nuts, attacking the pad, darting back to his anemones, over and over
.... but the last time I cleaned the tank using a grey pad, he didn't
react nearly as much.

Maybe he's just used to my alien hand being in the tank, now. I hope
so, because those gloves you're recommending are partially blue ... ;-)

I don't know about color, but my shrimps attack my hands any time
they're in the tank. They'll come out from hiding places to do it.
(The peppermint, and the cleaner shrimp, both.) They don't attack them
when I wear the gloves and they don't attack other things that I put
into the tank to clean.

Hi;

OK, I bought these gloves and they definitely look leak-proof. One
concern though, they smell really strongly of rubber. I know they're
made of rubber ;-) but I'm still surprised by the strong smell. I can
just imagine the rubber molecules rolling off these suckers and into
the tank water. I tried soaking them for a while and it didn't make
any difference ... is this something about which I should be concerned?
Thanks.

Try having that glove in a well vented area for couple of days. All rubber
plastic will have the smell and will wear-off sooner or later in a well
vented area.
