Default Corallife metal halide fixture

Hi, guys
Have you tried "Coralife Aqualight Pro Metal Halide Reef Light"?
I am thinking about getting a used one. However, I couldn't find many review
materials in the web.
I'd like to get your review.

Thanks,
Sungwon

If I'm not mistaken it's pretty new to the market so there probably is
not a lot of reviews available. I've seen it
advertized in www.DrsFosterSmith.com magazines.

I believe it's a 10000K double ended bulb HQI at about 150watts.
That means it will run hotter then a VHO or HO
or even Power Compact. It needs to be at least 3 1/2" above the tank.
If you have sufficent ballast and
and proper cooling it will probably last farely long time.

Best of luck which ever you choose

I have the the 48'' srtip. I love it. I put the three light sets on seperate
timers. I keep the moon lights on 24/7, the 96w pc acitenics come 45 mins
before the mh and stay on 45 mins after the mh's go out. The built in fan
keeps cool, and it comes with legs that keep it off the tank. It comes with
ballasts for each HQI so you don't have to buy any thing else, and it's a
complete compact system . It's very sleek. I'm very pleased. The only thing
I don't care for is it sets on the whole tank so anytime you need to get
into the tank you have to remove the fixture. It's fairly heavy. Other than
that I love it.
