Hey there fishy folks.
I know some of you idolize Faith from Bettatalk.com, but I do not. I happen to
disagree with some of her ways and recommendations.
Occasionally, I check out her site to see what beautiful lines she's got going,
and couldn't believe what I was reading.
Somebody wrote her asking why her Betta doesn't get along with her Goldfish.
First, that's a red flag for me. You simply shouldn't be housing tropical and
cold water fishes together. Both have different requirements and even have
different diseases that the other has no defense for.
She also says that both Bettas and Goldfish don't need expensive filtration or
air pumps.
That's a good way to kill a Goldie, that's for sure.

Goldies require over-filtration and more oxygen than most fish

While I can't (and won't) say anything about the individuals at
bettatalk I agree that there are too many ill-advised recommendations
offered there.
