I inherited some live rock from someone shutting their tank down. Rock had
good form/shapes, but was not in good shape i.e., blackened at a portion, smelling, etc. I'm not sure if I did the right thing, but I started out by cleaning out the rock in freshwater, scrubbing, etc. The rock looks better, but I think I prob killed all the critters that make the live rock "live". Would it be worth continuing? the rock is currently curing (seperate tank, skimmer, etc), and I was considering purchasing some seed live rock and putting it in after a week but not sure if/when to do this. |
