In designing my sump I keep questioning the size of the bubble trap. I am
new at this and not a fluid dynamics engineer. My sump will be 48" x 12" with a bubble trap in the middle. All the sites I see have a 1" bubble trap. If I am pumping 2000gph will the bubble trap be able to support this flow rate? I keep thinking maybe I should make it 2" instead of 1". Am I being paranoid or do I need to make it bigger to support my flow rate? Thanks Frank |

You can make it 2" wide if you prefer.
