Default Locating Black PVC

Greetings,

Somewhat of an eyesore to see white PVC fittings - can anyone direct me to
online store that sells black PVC and related fittings?

- Daniel

I will be setting up a reef system soon. What I planned to do is coat the
exposed PVC parts with silicon then roll them in crushed coral. I was
thinking that this might help mask the pipes. If anyone knows why I
shouldn't do this please post it.

Thanks
Frank F

The Boston aquarium makes a lot of their fabulous backgrounds from crushed coral
and other stuff mixed with a special fiberglass compound. I think your idea is
great and should work just like theirs does. In fact, you might be able to get
some chunks of coral from an LFS. Small pieces glued on like this might do an
even better job.

I purchased some various black fittings from www.customaquatic.com a few
months ago. They also have blue and clear items as well.

Also, I coated some PVC pipe with silicone and crushed coral and then
anchored some plants to it a few years ago for an African Cichlid tank.
This kept them from digging up the plants. It came out great, but pieces of
silicone eventually started falling off.
