Default Recommendations for water movement in tank

I have a 58G tank with a Penguin filter. I am using an airstone for water
movement.
This is a planted tank. What do you suggest so I have some water movement?
Is it needed?

Thanks

You need water movement at the surface of the water, yes. At the top,
where the water meets the air, is where most oxygenation of the water
occurs, so you want the surface water moved around.
