Default Live rock in part cycled tank?

Hi all, I'm in the middle of cycling my SW tank (pure ammonia and bacteria
culture method) Ammonia has spiked and fallen to 0, Nitrite has risen and is
peaking at the moment.

I wasn't going to have live rock in the tank but after seeing some of the
photo's on various forums on the net I now feel the need!!!!!

My question is: Can the LR be put into the tank right away (to help with the
cycle process) or will the nitrite damage the rock dwellers?

Thanks

Terry
