Default handheld pH meter to replace PinPoint?

Hello;

Can anyone recommend a handheld pH meter that can replace my PinPoint pH
meter, which I'd like to move to another tank? Specifically I'd like the
handheld to be as accurate and reliable as the PinPoint. Thanks in advance.

First, how acurate is Pinpoint meter?
Do not jump to quickly and mistake *acuracy* with *resolution*.
Be careful, these are not the same...

BTW - what is the contact info to the manufacturer of Pinpoint?
I tried to find American Marine's website and I failed...

PinPoint has a resolution of .01, and claims to have an accuracy of .01 as
well. I've been told that this is highly unlikely, but the PinPoint monitor
also seems to have a good reputation in the newsgroups.

I was hoping that people out there who've used both the PinPoint and a
handheld meter could recommend a meter that they consider to be (nearly)
equivalent in accuracy. One that would be good for a reef tank.

Good question about American Marine's website ... seems I visited it
sometime last year, but can't find it now.

Why can't you just move it from tank to tank as needed?

I even take a cup of sample water from the other tanks and just bring it over to
the meter on my 29g for a quick check. 20 seconds later, I'm done.

As little as possible to get a handheld meter that is comparable in quality
to the PinPoint. :-)

I'm flexible.

There are more similar to Pinpoint units by Milwaukee than #51.
The one looks exactly like Pinpoint for $69 only.
The other is with ATC probe and is $99 - with temp probe
you actualy have a chance to get 0.01 acurate readings.
Manufacturer website http://www.miltestersusa.com/

Thanks for posting, Marcus - this looks like a better choice!
