Default adaptability question with crabs and snails

Can I take hermit crabs and snails from my local beach and put them in
my tank? I live in Monterey CA. and the water temp here is 45-50
degrees. My tank is 78 degrees. Thats about 30 degrees difference.
I'm also trying to figure out on what type of hermit crabs they are?
It dark green with a narrow single blue band by the tip of each of
thier legs. Any ideas?

Thanks Rudy
