Got a problem that could just be due to my stupidity ...
Whenever I feed my fish with food that basically floats or stays close to the top, some of the food eventually gets sucked into my hang-on filter intake before the fish have a chance to grab it. I was thinking of putting a net or something around the intake, but then the food would just get caught on that. Any other clever ideas? |

You should shut off the filter during feeding which should only last about 5 minutes anyway. -- - Mark - -- |

My filter has a knob to adjust the flow rate so that food doesn't get sucked
in as much during feeding. "Mark A. Odell" wrote in message . 1.4... "Joe V." wrote in : Got a problem that could just be due to my stupidity ... you can get a food ring fromthe LFS.. Basically just a plastic ring wé a
suction cup... stick it so the ring is at the surface and put the food in it.... also cuts down on waste in the tank... "Joe V." wrote in message ... I think I'll try out the ring ... I have tried turning off the filter during
feeding, but observed a strange thing. The fish don't seem to want to eat the flakes while the filter is off, but the minute I turn it on they start eating again. The filter does move the flakes around, so not sure if that's any reason ... "The Madd Hatter" wrote in message ble.rogers.com... you can get a food ring fromthe LFS..
