Well it might be diatoms, but I get this in small partches and if left for a
while soon becomes coraline algae and in some places it becomes small sponges. Have you got any hermit crabs in your tank ?, they might lift it off when they pick away at the other green coloured stuff grown near by too. plenty of hermits and snails....its a 3 month old tank and from what i read

Looks like cyano bacteria to me. Siphon out what you can reach with flexible
