Default Which way does the filter go?

The filter cartridge goes in the back and the media basket goes in the
front. You cannot fit two media baskets on the same side, they do not fit.
You could put the media basket in the back and the cartridge in the front,
if you want to...but usually this is not done.

I put plain old floss in my media baskets that I get at walmart. I reuse
the cartridges for years, just rinsing them out good.....

I have an Emperor 400 so I have 4 filtering slots. 2 on each side.
The second tray is filled only with charcoal. The first tray is the

Emperor
400 'D'. one on each side of the filter. Should I place the Emperor

filter
in the rear slot so that the water first passes through the filter medium
and then the charcoal and then through the all charcoal second tray?

Thanks, Bob
