Hi,
I have a number of large Amazon swords and all of their tips are going brown. Is it possible to "prune" these away & the plant will be OK or will it harm the plant? I plan to add some plant food to the tank as I guess the browning is a sign of some deficiency. Thanks, Sky. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Not sure if you can cut the leaves the way you are suggesting - doesn't sound like a great idea to me! You need to add Plant food for Iron & Potassium & also some Trace Elements would be a good idea. If you don't have CO2 then consider something like the Hagen thing for about £15-£20. It won't add a lot but even a bit will help a lot . |

You can remove decaying leaves from sword plants w/o to much trouble. The
real questions is why are the leaves turn brown? Low CO2, lack of light or iron compounds? Do some research into your plant type and tank setup... Fishboy "Iain Miller" wrote in message ...
