fish ill or just hurt w/ pics

please go to http://bobbonham.com/fish/ and there are 2 pics of a yellow lab
cichlid the first pic shows his head and it makes me think he is sick...but
the rest of him looks okay as in pic 2.

can anyone tell me if this fish is sick...it was acting fine untill
yesterday he got his butt kicked by a powder blue cichlid only 3" in size.
Since then he was hanging at the top so I moved him into this tank by
himself.
