Cross posting with alt.aquaria
I have a female guppy who this morning appears to have a loose scaley appearance. Early form of Cotton? This looks like her scales are sticking up and sort of fuzzy, she also has fuzzy spots on her front fins. Her back tail has a couple white specks. The only thing I have in the house is Rid Ich, I just removed my plants from the tank and put a dose in and pulled out my carbon and raised the temperature a bit. Do you think this is a good start for treatment? I do not have any Epsom or aquarium salt in the house for a salt bath as that was my next approach. By the way, when they say to do a Salt Bath, exactly what do you do? By the way, she is in with 3 other guppies and 2 albino cats, and no, I do not have a hospital tank to move her to, though I know I should. Any ideas? |
