16oz Brine Shrimp in a can,, now what?
The can says "Keep in a cool dry area", My whole condo is hot. No basement! Although it does say "Refrigeration or freezing is desirable" Question: Can I put the can of brine shrimp eggs into the freezer after I open it? If so please explain, won't the condensation damage the eggs when I remove them from the freezer?? -- Sir Douglas Cook http://www.greyspace.bravehostNOSPAM.com/ Remove "NOSPAM" for correct address London Ontario Canada Aquarium Maintenance Man for Hire |

I don't think I would freeze mine, maybe the fridge. Make sure the can air
air tight. Or add a moisture absorber in the can. Or, hatch large batches of them. "Sir Douglas Cook" wrote in message . .. 16oz Brine Shrimp in a can,, now what? The eggs are not damaged when removed however if used directly from the freezer to the brine mixture the hatching time will be increased. I remove a small tube full at a time and get 90% + hatching rate. Rick |
