I have a Neon that seems to have a buoyancy problem - like it is always
going to float to the surface unless it continually swims downward... sometimes, at the bottom of the tank, it has to go to grab food and it rises so quick you would think it was full of air. It appears happy otherwise. Any idea on this? TIA, Fred |

it could also have a swim bladder disorder, but usually, SB makes them swim sideways, or differently than normal.... and yours is differently so, HTH... "Fred" wrote in message ... It sinks (no air bubble entrapment), it's salty (good for them) and has lots of fibre (cleans then out ;~) Otherwise, treat for swim bladder disorder, but I usually try natural alternates first. Note that the smaller the fish, the less time you usually have to try things, so ymmv. NetMax |

fred, ALWAYS soak food in tank water first, don't just dump it
into the tank dry. This will help prevent swim bladder problems |
