I shop tomorrow and I want to buy freeze dried worms. What's the
difference between tubeflex and blood worms? (I know I can buy them frozen) Thanks, in advance |

(I know I can buy them frozen) I don't know the specific difference - probably depends a lot on the manufacturer. My recommendation would be to get both, and alternate them with some flake as well. More variety is a Good Thing. Unfortunately, I've got a picky little puffer fish that won't eat *anything* except frozen bloodworms. PITA fish. -- www.ericschreiber.com |

Depends what you are feeding... I know cichlids do not do well with tubifex,
and have had some of my guppies do poorly with them. I use blood worms to induce my guppies to produce, but sometimes they end up bloated and die because of them.. I will feed my cichlids them but as a treat once a month but no more ( Malawi bloat seems to happen even with the BW's if feed more ).. My GF and Koi seem to do alright with eithier... Timmer.. Many shops sell blood worms that are actually not worms at all but are red
mosquito larvae. -- flyline "Work consists of whatever a body is obliged to do, and Play consists of whatever a body is not obliged to do." - Mark Twain "Eric Schreiber" eric (at) ericschreiber (dot) com wrote in message ... None of my many fishes have ever liked freeze dried tubifex. The only
f/d stuff they'll reluctantly eat is daphnia. Even the piggy guppies refuse f/d tubifex. They all love frozen foods, though.
