I've had my current Pleco for about a month and I just started to notice
that both front fins on my Pleco have started to form some soft of "bubbles" at the front. Both front fins look the same and the fish seems fine otherwise. Here are some pictures with red arrows pointing to the "bubbles". http://www.rbartick.com/cf/pleco_1.jpg http://www.rbartick.com/cf/pleco_2.jpg http://www.rbartick.com/cf/pleco_3.jpg http://www.rbartick.com/cf/pleco_4.jpg Has anyone seen anything like this before? |

I had a 2 1/2 Pleco that developed those spots over a period of a month or
two. The actually began to look like hard calcifications after some time. Anyway, yesterday I noticed that they were mostly gone and today he was dead. The tank has a UV unit on it and all the other inmates are healthy as can be. I still have no idea what it was, but my lfs said he's heard a number of customers talking about it and he'd never seen it before in 35 years. "Computer Prog" wrote in message ...
