Default Purple and Green Coraline algae

On my LR I have plenty of Purple Coralline algae growing, I recently added a
few pieces of LR that has Green Coralline, how can I promote the green alae
to grow? Does a product like PURPLE UP work on both colors of coaralline or
is there something else I need to purchase?
Thanks

Yes purple up works for all coralline...It's a calcium supplement
Coralline algae needs calcium

1) Ionic Calcium: Immediately raises dissolved calcium levels in the
aquarium water.

2) 10 Micron Aragonite: Targets the live rock surface, where it dissolves in
situ, delivering calcium, strontium, magnesium and carbonate right where it
is needed.

Iodine Replenishment: Purple Up also replenishes iodine, an essential
element for coralline algae tissues that becomes quickly depleted in closed
systems.

Does it work ? Is it worth buying ?
Remains to be seen...I think I bough my last bottle.
8 months and I'm finally getting lots of coralline, but I don't think it's
because of that additive.

I'd suggest getting a Test Kit for Iodide. My sponges react badly if
slightly overdosed.

I tend to think that if I keep my calcium and alk levels on the higher
side, and my Sg up around the 1.024 to 025 range, coraline usually
starts and grows just fine when its ready with or without any
supplemental additives such as purple up. I have had coraline start
with in 30 days of setting up a new tank, and I have others where it
took 2 or 3 or more months for the first sign of it to
appear......Save your money, don;t buy those additives, spend it on a
decent calcium supplement like B-Ionic etc and when your system is
mature enough it will get coraline all w ithout any purple up.
