I live in an apartment. It would not be wise for me to turn an aquarium
into a specimen 'eco-system'. When I relocate, I can't think of anything worse than destroying the already delicate balance it would take years to achieve. Forget That ___! Forget That ___! ========================== Why would you need to destroy it? Just get a few friends over to help you move it after removing as much water as possible. If you don't have willing friends, then hire some help. If you are using professional movers ask their help. I have moved tanks and have read posts from others that have successfully moved tanks. I didn't see any information about your tank, maybe your situation is unique, but fish environments are hardy. Don't give up. dick |

Don't give up. dick I run a 55gal that I have planted with plastic water lillies, lots of SeaGarden silks and hornwort. The substrate is a combo of sand/pea gravel. The community tankmates consists of platies, sharks, cories and danios. The danios are just too busy and at times make a nervous wreck of the other tankmates. So they're on their way back to the LFS or if I can find a neighbor whose child may like to start an aquarium. The best part though--Trying to remove them from the tank with the average small fishnet you pickup for a buck anywhere...this is laughable to say the least. |
