Default lack of growth in offspring

i have been breeding and rearing platys and apple snails for a long
time now. have seen 3 to 4 generations now. from generation to
generation i see snails are loosing the strength of the shell and the
latest is some part of the shells are actually invisible what could be
the reason

the other one is in platys or mollys offspring never reach the size or
colour of their parents
