What would happen if someone used calcium supplements intended for human
consumption to dose for calcium. I can envision Caltrate tablets slowly releasing Ca++ into the water, but I guess someone would have already started doing this if it were possible. I guess Ca++ has to be in the right form. Any opinions on the subject? -- _____________________________________ The two darkest days in American history: the day it was "discovered", and the day it became the leading power... _____________________________________ |

Read the label on your pills. They are made to dissolve in a stomach PH
which is near 2. But the active ingredient is not the problem, is the inactive ingredients that may cause a chemical misbalance on your system. They may contain compounds that could be detrimental to your livestock. To tell you the truth, I will just go by adding crushed seashells and other marine-friendly calcium sources. Your pills may work but I wouldn't throw them in my tank. iy "Dustin McCullough" wrote in message ...
