Man,
this fish looks great and seems to meet the specs I`m looking for. I can
only find it on 1 online dealer---and they charge $100!!! (Not a chance for
me).
That dealer always seems a bit pricey. But I cant find it anywhere else.
Does this fish ever pop-up in LFS? I havent seen one around yet.

There are three fish out there that are sometimes sold as "candy basslet." From
the price, I'd guess you are looking at Liopropoma Swalesi. I've been told that
the Caribbean version (Liopropoma Carmabi) goes for upwards of $800. It's
prettier and hides less. Both are quite rare. You might also check out
Liopropoma Swalesi. It's $80 at one web vendor. Not as pretty, of course.

BTW. Few really expensive fish pop up at an LFS. There's too great a risk of the
fish dying and leaving the retailer with a loss. Most retailers will be quite
happy to order you one, however.
