![]() I don't think my Red Sea Phosphate test will go under .1 ppm. I've tried it with distilled water and I still get the 0.1 ppm. It seems to be the color of the reagent the comes out of the bottle. Any recommendations? --Kurt |

Any recommendations? --Kurt I've never got a reading below 0.1 with mine either......I checked it with a Nutrafin kit I had lying around and that gave me 0.25 so I'm guessing the Red Sea one is correct in detecting a trace of Phosphate - I've had the Nutrafin one down to zero after adding some Green X Phosphate remover.... ... If you were blessed with a sound mind and morales and were capable of holding an intelligent conversation without going off the deep end, what would you say? I sure am sorry to hear yur escapeds with the doctor that delivered you. Instead of getting held up by the heels and slapped, he held you up by your heels and swung you around to swat at flies. Evidetnly it was those early bumps you suffered at newborn age, that has caused yu such great difficulties in compasion and understanding in your following years, coupled with abuse by your daddy and your multitude of husbands and minimum wage (tips) from the motorcycle gangs its sort of understandable how you are so eager to lash out at those willing to offer a helping and supportive hand.......But, you have brought a barrel of laughs and lots of endless entertainment to those of us on USENET, and for that we all commend you. After all it can'tt get much better for such a paltry monthly fee to have usenet and get such great entertainment as a bonus... PLease let us offer our sincere condolence's for the loss ofyour mind. ------- I forgot more about ponds and koi than I'll ever know! "Pszemol" wrote in message ... "KurtG" wrote in message .. . Salifert PO4 tests as low as .03. PO4 level of .1 or higher can cause
serious problems with sps and lps as well as fueling nuisance algeas. I would suggest figuring out the cause and take the appropriate measures to reduce. "KurtG" wrote in message .. . Just in case you didn't take this into consideration!
Try cleaning your instruments with hot destilled water and completely esterilize even the pipet or syringes with clean water. Personally I even dry it with alcohol to get rid of any humidity left. If you use pure water, not tap, to zero your kit, there shouldn't be anything to read. If you still get a reading then your chemicals are polluted. You should always get a reading, never zero, using your tank's water. iy "KurtG" wrote in message .. . I don't think my Red Sea Phosphate test will go under .1 ppm.
