7days ago the Angels laid eggs on the internal filter casing but ate
them within days. Surprisingly they laid another batch this week. I have today removed the Java fern leaves including young fry and placed all intact in a dedicated tank. The amazing thing is that a few fry were left attached to part of the Java fern leaf in the community tank, the Female is taking care of them. I know other cichlids take the fry in their mouths but I did not realise that the female Angel takes the odd fry in her mouth and then spits it back onto the leaf. R4 |
