Default What Are My Fish Worth?

I've got 2 tiger oscars 9" and 8" long. I'm looking to sell them. My
problem is that i have absolutly no idea what they are worth. So, any
suggestions on what's a fair price? It would be greatly appreciated.

$10 USD a piece...Other wise you might get an offer from a dealer of about
$5 USD each..

If you want to sell fish for money, oscars are not the way to go. Theyre
simply too big for most people to keep. Your basically asking someone to
take them off your hands. The only fish Ive seen that will bring real
money are Discus, and a lot of the african cichlids..where an adult male
can bring as much as $100 (peacocks, etc.)

I'm afraid that they have no real value, unless you are lucky enough to
find someone that wants to buy them. Someone elses big fish are a burden to
most. LFS can't give them away when they get that big, and they cosr $$$ to
feed. You may get lucky by posting here, where you are located?

It also depends where you live,, I,ve seen 5 inch Oscars go for $80 +
But I live in Oz where large fish of that type are rare, Oscars your size
would fetch twice that.

It may make more sense to eat it than sell it? Pan fried Oscar is quite
the delicacy they tell me. Tastes like.......

Gees, looks like I should get into business when I get back to
Saskatchewan. Bog tank and lots of food and filtration. Make them Oscars
grow, grow, grow.... I can't get very muc for them here in California..
Apparently no one likes over aggresive Oscars eatting all thier pretty
little fishes... tsk tsk...

Timmer.. Soon to be back in Saskatchewan....
