I have a odonus niger and he has started taking exception to my tank
maintenance routine. He bumrushed the sponge-brillo thingy on the end of the scraper. I don't know if or how hard he bit, but I read that they have sharp red teeth. I also read that the niger trigger is one of the more peacable triggers. What's with this fish suddenly being a tough guy? Mike. |

The Niger is indeed one of the more peaceable triggers, but that doesn't make one benign. If that's the only problem you have with this trigger, I would stay with the status quo. They do have sharp teeth, and you may have to buy a few scrapers over the years to come, but, as long as he's not attacking other inhabitants, I would keep him.
