Default feeding convict fry.

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT. I HAVE A 35 GAL TANK WITH ONE PAIR OF
CONVICTS.I ALSO HAVE 100 OR MORE BABY FRY.I NEED TO KNOW WHEN CAN i
FEED THEM.I WAS TOLD TO USE A TOOTHPICK WITH MOIST TIP AND CRUSHED
FLAKES TO A POWDER THEN PLACE THE TOOTHPICK A LITTLE OVER THERE
HEADS.WELL MOM AND DAD DID NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL!!!. I KNOW THAT
CONVICTS ARE GREAT PARENTS BUT IS THERE A TIME YOU SEPARATE THE YOUNG
FROM THERE PARENTS. THEY ARE ALL SWIMMING IN A SCHOOL WITH MOM ON ONE
SIDE AND DAD ON THE OTHER.DID I MENSION DAD HAS IT OUT FOR ME .

I have a similar situation and all I feed the fry is flakes that I "crush"
between my fingers as I drop them into the tank. Dad also doesn't care for
me too much as he will slam into the side of the tank to get me! I
normally leave a towel over the tank to help keep their stress levels down
as I have two small children that think it's great fun to watch the
parents attack fingers through the glass...
p.s. It's somewhat easier to read a post when the Caps Lock is turned off.

Please turn off your caps lock. It reads like you are SHOUTING.

Wayne, you don't need to get fancy with these guys. Crumble up some flake
food and throw it in and they will be fine. I did start mine off with live
BBS for the first couple of weeks however I'm sure they would have been fine
without it.

Rick
