Hi;
Has anyone made Driftwood from Manzanita or Oak roots? I have boiled them six times and still get quite a bit of color in the water. Are they toxic and am I wasting my time? Thanks, Dan |

Thanks, Dan Well you have to live in CA for this question and the answer is they are fine. Roots are not needed, you can use the truck/branches etc. Main thing: find heavy dense wood that's been dead for at least 2 years. REdwood and most woods are fine if soaked a few times prior. Make sure to cut off any rot. Regards, Tom Barr |
