I could use a lot of anacharis (3500gal pond) to help fight off green
pea soup which comes and goes. Most of my potted plants were decimated by raccoons last year and the year before, and I can't afford to replace many this year. Soooooooo, I was wondering if anyone had a wheelbarrow full of anacharis **okay, maybe not quite that much** that they would be willing to send me. I can pay the shipping / postage, and can send that as a personal check or mail order or ??? Related question: how to "sterilize" anacharis to be sure it does not carry unwanted pests or bacteria into my pond? I do not have access to potassium permanganate. I have used coppersafe in the past with some success with snails, but what about other water bugs? (In our pool, which was a mosquito larvae breeding tank last month, water beetles, water boatmen, water striders all moved in -- but there's no access other than up it's straight sides or over the ladder) Any other household remedies or potions? I don't want to add any other creatures if I prevent it. -- Kathy B, zookeeper 3500gal pond, 13 pond piggies Oregon, Zone 6 |
