Default Newbie advice

Hi, First of all you need a much bigger set up then a 2 gallon bowl if you
intend on keeping the goldfish for a while. Goldfish need approx. 10 gallons of

water per fish. Some say 10 gallons per 4 inches of fish. Also goldfish do
much better alone as they put off a lot of amonia in the water that most likely

will kill any other fish in with them. Most common mispreception of keeping
goldfish is that they are easy to keep. Do yourself a favor and do some
searches
and study up on them. I currently have 2 fantails in a 30 gallon and they are
thriving and doing well for 3 years now. They are about the size of tennis
balls. If I had kept them in a 2 gallon bowl they would be dead by now. How do
I
know this? I have done it before and was not successful. Hope this helps some.
OOPS they are cold water fish, temp should be 70-78.......approx. I am not an
expert but I am telling ya what has worked for me. Some here far more
experienced them myself..........
P.S. Goldies can live up to 25 years, if kept properly.
