SanDiegoFishes
I have 5 Uaru's and I just love them, they are so cool. Doesn't seem like many
other folks keep them, and they should! Neat fish!
Anyone else here have Uaru's??
Also, if you do, there is a nifty little forum devoted exclusively to these
fish, come join us sometime. It is: http://uaru-forum.com/

Mornin', I had some time (away from the fishtanks) so I updated my

food choices by
bk
I have a 1200 gallon pond with about 12 african cichlids and two medium size
pleckos. Looking for advice on what to feed them. They've been living on Koi
pellets for the last few months. We've only been feeding them every couple
of days. They go crazy for food, but won't eat that much. My thinking...

electric yellow - shy or bullied? by
Larry
I have a 26g with some rasporas, s, two key holes and one gold ram. I
added two yellow labs.(all fish are juveniles) They seem to prefer
the top corners right now.
Are they afraid of my ram(seems to enjoy giving them the eye) or the
keyholes(who don't seem to even notice them) or just newcomers...

Discus daker color by
Steverd
I know Discus can change color, but can't find any info on it.
I bought a 4" pale blue discus a month ago, but since the discus has
been in it's new home it's almost always a dark blue..
Is there anything I can adjust to bring back his lighter color?

Kribs by
Larry
Have had help from a few ngs to selection some smaller cichlids(3-4")
that can tolerate 8ish ph. Can Kribs handle this level? From the
articles I've ready they are easily maintained and a good community
fish. Is this correct?
All the best,
Larry

"Floating" Behavior by
SoonerJeff
Question of course. Anyone else have an oscar that floats while
"sleeping". I litterally bout cried tonight when I walked by the
aquarium and saw him afloat. Soon to my eyes he started gradually
floating till the bottom. Is this routine while sleeping? or do I just
have a "Class Clown" as a pet?...

Differences between.... by
Jason Tsangaris
Hi,
What is the difference between a Red Oscar and a Red Tiger Oscar, other
than slight differences in the way they look. The lfs's in my area always
charge around $10-12 for the red tiger oscars, but the red oscars are
usually only $5-6. What is the difference that would make one more...

Filtering solutions for a 135 gallon show tank? by
hotpink
Hey, folks:
So, my husband and I keep african cichlids. About 12 tanks worth
currently in our 'fishroom' (down from twenty at the old house;
hopefully we'll get back up to about 20 next summer once the real
fishroom is built). We're sponge and box filter fans, although we keep
around a big Magnum...

Am new to the world of the larger tank. Although my "larger tank" is
only a 26g I have had good advice from this group that I should stay
with smaller cichlids. My ph is 8ish and not all cichlids enjoy this.
I've been looking through "millions" of web sites and my eyes are
