Compliants? by
RedForeman ©®
unfortunately, it's up to them to do something, but us Microsoft Outlook
express users can always 'block sender' which is what I did, so far, I only
saw the replies to his original post, which truly startled me to think
someone could think like that....
.... reminds me of the columbine kids......

Questions on setting up a Large tank by
David Willett
I have designed a 2'x2'x8' wood and glass tank with a trickle filter. I am
going to be using sand as the substrait. The tank is 250+g. I am going to
use a 1/2" piece of glass for the front window. I have read about W/D
filter media and am still not clear as to how much I will need for a...

My Kribs Spawned Twice But... by
Steve
I set up a 10gal tank with 5 Cardinals and a pair of Kribs. I set it up for
my 10 year old son who has taken an interest in fish for some time now. I
thought Kribs would be an interesting fish for him to breed, given their
parental instincts.
Went to the LFS and picked out a plump female and a...

mossambicus question by
Sarotherodon
Can anyone help me with the current status of fish from the old genus
Tilapia? I believe that substrate spawners were retained in Tilapia, and
mouthbrooders were moved to Oreochromis and Sarotherodon. Is the former
T.mossambicus now in Sarotherodon or Oreochromis? What is the distinction
between...

Does anyone use Aqaurix software? by
Bob Phelps
Did you get the online version or the CD version?
They say that they are also coming out with version 4
soon. It will cost $5 (for those who bought Aquarix 3
in August or September 2003) to upgrade and is downloadable
only.

Will It STarve? by
B.
I currently have a arowana in a tank with various american cichlids. The
arowana is really picky about what it likes to eat. It seems to only want
to eat feeder fish. I really don't like feeding my fish feeders because of
the risk of disease and the mess they make when they make a kill. I...

adhesives safe for tanks ??? by
Charles Flakus j.r.
I want to glue a couple of rocks together to make some tunnel structure
for my black belt cichlid. If I just stack things he will knock them
over. I need some thing safe that won"t screw up the water. What would
you suggest I use?

Aquarix by
Bambi
Does anyone use this piece of software?
If so we could compile a list of new fish that people have added to the
database, as it is sadly lacking MANY cihclids.
I can quite happily host a website with exported data files for all to
download.

I have a 46 gal tank and 5 fish, none seem to bother each other, except that
the yellow lab stays away from all the other 4. Is this normal?

My Kribs have spawned! by
Paul
My first attempt at breeding fish has begun! My two kribs have finally
spawned!
From previous posts you might recall that the male had dug a cave and they
were protecting it.
Well, now they are protecting it with amazing fury! The female is spending
90% of her time in the cave and the male is...

flower horns by
rmc
There are many Central American cichlids that are every bit as
attractive as the hybrid "Flowerhorn".....At least with pure breeds
you know what you're getting and if they spawn you'll know what you're
going to get.

Using electricity to catch fish out of a decorated tank... by
Günther De Vogelaere
When biologists try to chart the fishpopulation in open water, they often
use electricity to stun the fish.
Maybe this is a silly question, did anyone ever use/try electricity to catch
their (sick) fish out of a fully decorated tank?
Would this be a good idea? What current/voltage should be used?

Telling the difference by

How can one tell the difference between a male and female in Firemouths,
Convicts, Red Devils, Jack Dempsey, and Jewel fish? Is there a website that

Thanks in advance,
