Ok, well I seem to have my algae problem under control. Now I have
crystal clear water in at least one of my ponds! Yippie! Well, sort of
yippie! Despite the clear water, I cannot see my sarassus comet or
butterfly koi because they are hiding. Constatntly hiding. The first
day we brought the two...

Sani-Tred coatings.. &..burial vaults for holding tanks by
~Roy~
Seems like the polyurea bunch are gong head to head with the DIY'ers
that have been using the Sani Tred rubberized coatings. Polyurea
rewquires specialized equipment to apply, but Sani-Tred only rewquires
a brush or roller and it has a lot of advantages over the Polyurea in
a lot of applications....

Help finding pond ornament by
[email protected]
http://snipurl.com/fl2s
I saw this on a pond webpage some time ago, and wrote to the author,
but she doesn't remember where she got the picture. I've searched
endlessly because I'd like to purchase it, and haven't been able to
find it. If anyone can be of help, I would really appreciate it.

Backfill jj's filter, or build an enclosure? by
Chris
Hi Jan (Jordan, and other readers of this group),
You've been very helpful in answering several of my questions in the
past, thanks. I have another (no doubt not the last!). I'm planning
to build a 4-barrel filter like the one on your demonstration pond, and
I'm debating whether I should stick...

Planning my first pond -- a few quetions for the experts here by
Dan
Hi,
Finally, after several years of waiting, I'm about to build
my first small pond. Most of our yard is heavily wooded,
however, I think I have a sutable, but mostly shaded, area
near the house for a 1000 gallon pond with a two foot waterfall.
I've resigned myself to battling with tree debris --...

Lily bloom underwater by

Someone posted they had a lily bloom under the water. I was wondering if
they ever found out what caused this? I've had it happen twice now on 2
separate lilies. Gypsy and Gloriosa. ~ jan

Garden ornaments by
~Roy~
I usually try and make my own out of varous objects I accumulate. I
have cast bronze sundials, fish, plaques and other objects, but
probably my neatest ornament is my huge dragon fly, which I made in
about 15 minutes time out of a overhead garage door spring which was
used for the body, and some...

Mulch around ponds by
[email protected]
I would like to move the grass back a few feet from my ponds to avoid
the hand trimming of the grass around the edging stones. Can wood
mulch be used in close proximity to the ponds, or should I stick with
gravel or small stones for this purpose?

-take a spare 2 gallon Eclipse aquarium and set it
up in the bathroom on the (generous) vanity
-add some treated tap water and fill up with pond
water
-add several anacharis
-add some aquarium decorations (clean)
-scoop up some...
